Debbie Jenkins is an entrepreneur, author and publisher and was a life-long city dweller who always longed for a place in the countryside. Her greatest excitement is in owning trees – hundreds of them! She’s learning to ride a horse and to show jump, loves doing acrylic paintings and spends most of her time caring for her ever-growing cat and dog colony!
In June 2001 Debbie (and her now ex-husband Marcus) bought a small warehouse, attached to some caves, with 6.5 acres of land. In August 2005 they moved into their new house to enjoy the Murcian lifestyle – going native in Murcia. They are now divorced and Debbie lives with her Italian partner in the Mazarron area in The Disaster Farm.
Debbie written lots of books on Murcia the region and a couple of recipes books from the region. Debbie has edited, translated & designed two cookery books: Spanish Village Cooking – Recetas del Campo & Spanish Cooking Uncovered: Farmhouse Favourites
