AEMET – Weather in Spain
Up to date information from the weather agency here in Spain – Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET). You get a five day forecast, wind speed, temperature range and UV rating. You can download the Android widget too. It needs internet access, so be careful of your roaming charges. Make sure the weather is right for your golf day with this cool app.
Search by taking a picture. Goggles uses image recognition technology to recognize objects and return relevant search results. Identifies products, famous landmarks, storefronts, artwork, and popular images found online. Goggles can translate words in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese & Russian. So for example if you’re in a restaurant you can take a photo of the menu and ask the app to translate it for you. Saves you from eating pig’s testicles! Requires an internet connection to work though, so be careful of your roaming charges.
For more translation help then try the Talking Spanish app. Speak a sentence into the app and then hear the translation. Great when you’re out and about and don’t want to carry your dictionary around. It’s not perfect, but will certainly get you by in a tight spot. It does require an internet connection to work though, so be careful of your roaming charges.
