Costa Cálida is the coast in Murcia (probably the least well known of the costas till recent years). We have the Mediterranean Sea (locally known as the Mar Major) and the Mar Menor (little sea). There are 68 km of beaches give or take a kilometer or two. The Costa Cálida enjoys a very pleasant temperature all year round, with the annual average temperature at 18 º. There’s a great mixture of types of coastline, ranging from rugged with steep cliffs or areas of long beaches and fine white sand with calm seas.
You can go sailing and fishing, diving, canoeing, swimming, skiing, boating, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
The Mar Menor and La Manga del Mar Menor: covers an area of 172 km2. of an open bay of calm, warm waters.
In 2010 we received 17 blue flags for our beaches and 2 ports.
